Mt. Diablo Adult Education’s Parent Education Department seeks a caring, enthusiastic, innovative, and self-motivated part-time instructor to work with families in our Parent Education School Readiness Co-op Program (preschool). Job duties include working as the primary lead teacher in a preschool classroom, developing an age-appropriate monthly curriculum aligned with California Preschool Standards, effective developmental teaching and class management skills, delivering instruction, and working with parents. The teacher needs to delegate, support, and coach parent participants. Supervise, monitor, and evaluate children’s progress. Follow program guidelines, attend meetings and family events, and work collaboratively with staff. This is a part-time, non-benefited job.
