    Key West Historic Inns is a unique island collection of historic properties looking for someone to tend to the needs of our vibrant sactuaries. As the Director of Engineering, you will oversee a dynamic team and be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all engineering operations.     Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize engineering operations and enhance overall efficiency.
    • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and renovation of the property's infrastructure and systems.
    • Manage the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to drive excellence.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering services.
    • Implement sustainable and eco-friendly initiatives to promote energy conservation.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and exceptional service delivery.

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience as a Director or Assistant Director required
    • Hotel, institutional, HVAC systems experience of 3-5 years
    • Refrigeration, HVAC certification
    • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, life safety systems, preventative maintenance systems etc
    • Budget management, cost control and financial responsibility experience with stationary engineering licensed  preferred Valid Driver’s license
    • Ability to communicate effectively with public and other Team Members
