Instructor - Electrical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of electrical engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Electrical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Electrical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Electrical Craft Instructor (Part-time)

  • Dubak Electrical of Indiana LLC is looking to add a Part-time hands-on Electrical Craft Instructor to assist with teaching our Electrical Apprentices through our 5-year program. This individual must pass the NCCER Knowledge Verification Assessment as a condition of employment.


    Requirements for the Electrical Instructor candidates are, but not limited to, the following:

     

    • Candidates for the Instructor position must be a verifiable Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 7 years of field experience
    • Pass the NCCER Knowledge Verification assessment for Industrial Electricians
    • Skilled and knowledgeable in conduit bending (hand bending, mechanical bending, electric bending), Electrical Theory, motors and transformers, grounding and bonding, hazardous locations, and motor controls
    • Must have a strong foundation of the NEC and be able to navigate the code. Current license holding is a plus, but not a requirement
    • Passionate about education and passing down knowledge to the next generation of field leaders
    • Good communication skills and be able to adapt teaching to different learning styles
    • Must be comfortable speaking to large groups and demonstrating various tasks and techniques
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Classes are held every other week on Monday's, Wednesday's, and Thursday's from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm
