Instructor - Electrical Engineering jobs in Maine
Instructor - Electrical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of electrical engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Electrical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Electrical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. The Oxford Hills Technical School (Maine Vocational Region 11) enrolls over 500 students from 11 towns in Western Maine. OHTS is seeking a dedicated individual to create and implement our newest program training the Electricians of tomorrow! The program will be based in a new building specifically being constructed for this program.
This full-time position will begin on August 20, 2024 and entail 182 work days of the school year through June of 2025. The Electrical Instructor will create a safe learning environment that encourages student engagement, while effectively delivering the program curriculum to prepare students to take the Journeymen’s license exam, after successfully completing two years in the program. The successful candidate will possess a desire to work with young people, previous experience training or mentoring Journeymen electricians and a Maine Master Electrician’s license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
