    This is a full-time, on-site role located in Pocatello, ID for a Vocational Education Instructor - Electrical. The Vocational Education Instructor will be responsible for delivering education and training programs to individuals pursuing a career in electrical trades. The instructor will design curriculum, develop lesson plans, and provide practical hands-on training in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair. The instructor will also assess student performance, provide feedback, and support student career development.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in a post secondary accredited educational institution. Education major preferred
    • Possess and maintain relevant industry certifications such as Electrician Journeyman License, electrical engineering degree, or 10 years in teaching vocational education
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design is a plus
    • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
    • Experience working with adult learners and/or vocational education is a plus

    Duties:

    • Conduct classroom instruction on electrical principles, techniques, and best practices
    • Demonstrate hands-on skills and provide practical training in electrical systems
    • Develop lesson plans, course materials, and assessments to ensure effective learning
    • Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
    • Provide guidance and support to students throughout their educational journey
    • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
    • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in electrical technology
    • Other duties as necessary, defined by training center policy and job description

    Note: This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking candidates with significant experience in the electrical industry or adult vocational instruction who can effectively transfer their knowledge to aspiring professionals.
