    Tectonic, a multi-disciplined engineering firm that supports the telecommunications and energy market sector that provides full turnkey design solutions, is currently seeking a full-time, experienced Electrical Engineer with telecommunications and energy design experience to work on projects throughout the Northeast!
    This is an excellent opportunity for to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers to support the technical evaluation and design of telecommunication, commercial, and industrial renewable energy projects nationally!
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    The essential functions of this position include providing input using best practices and sizing calculations, support project managers in preparation of design proposals, prepare/review electrical system design documents (one lines, three lines, string layouts, cable calculations, etc.), Be responsible for remaining up to date with the latest industry trends and technology offerings from major BESS / EV & PV systems, understanding Telecommunications designs including DAS systems, participating in project coordination meetings with internal team members, clients, sub-contractors, and vendors. Provide overall quality assurance practices for required deliverables and contribute to internal process improvements.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering and a valid PE License required;
    • 2 or more years of experience in the energy design space, and one year in telecommunications required;
    • Must have a comprehensive understanding of design standards and codes for electrical power systems, including National Electrical Code and applicable energy codes;
    • Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, and the preparation of assembling of calculations and specifications;
    • Technically knowledgeable of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems to execute systems design;
    • Experience with serving in a support role;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Ability to work independently or in a multi-disciplinary project team, either in-person or remotely;
    • Ability to meet project schedules and budgets;
    • Ability to manage and prioritize workload across multiple projects;
    • Desire to work in a fast-paces changing environment;
    • This position may require occasional travel.
    • Requires a valid, clean driver's license and a personal vehicle, as travel to job sites as required.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is often required to assume a stationary position, and regularly perform tasks that require the handling, inspection, and/or feeling of documents, materials, and/or equipment relevant to the job and communicate about same. Occasionally, the employee will need to move around on the job-site, sometimes while lifting and/or moving equipment up to 25 lbs and/or in hazardous weather conditions. The employee must be able to safely operate a motor-vehicle, in which they may be required to remain stationary for a prolonged period of time. They must be able to receive and convey detailed or important information with others using the Corporate e-mail system, telephone system, and conferencing systems. Employees may also be required to undergo substance abuse testing in accordance with project requirements, US DOT Regulations, and/or Company policy.     PAY RANGE
    Tectonic's goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitable across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate's work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.
    Pay Range: $150,000 - $170,000 / year
