Instructor - Electrical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of electrical engineering. Being an Instructor - Electrical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Electrical Engineering typically reports to a department head. The electrical engineering / controls intern will be assisting with the development of the future direction of the controls and PLC creation for the location. This includes design and development of electrical cabinets, creating and updating the ladder logic used in the PLCs, defining the software levels for the logic and communication interface, and managing and troubleshooting the current machines through PLC interface. Includes both Allen Bradley and Seimens PLCs and associated software.
1. Pursing a bachelor’s degree in one of the following:
2. Expected graduation date between December 2024 and May 2026.
3. Familiar with AutoCAD, Solidworks, Inventor, and/or Fusion 360
4. Familiar with RS Logics, TIA Portal, or other similar packages.
5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
6. Understanding of engineering economics concepts (ROI, NPV, etc.) preferred, but not required.
