Instructor - Electrical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of electrical engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Electrical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Electrical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     MVCC's School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math-Career invites applications for part-time Adjunct Instructors for courses in the following programs: Civil Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology. Teaching faculty at MVCC have the primary responsibility of fulfilling the College's mission of providing high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students.

    Adjunct faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies, guidelines, and learning outcomes. Lectures and labs may be taught in traditional classroom settings, virtually, or a combination. This position may include both daytime and evening classes.

    Qualifications:


    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or respective Engineering Technologies, or related field AND relevant work experience or license/certificate in the respective discipline

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with training or classroom teaching
