Instructor - English teaches courses in the discipline area of English. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - English provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - English typically reports to a department head. Frankel Jewish Academy is currently seeking an experienced full-time English teacher. The applicant must be certified with an endorsement in English (BA or BX) or able to obtain certification. An additional endorsement or background in teaching, especially in Social Studies (RX), is desirable but not necessary. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about working with high school students, enthusiastic about the subject matter they teach, and creative in the way that this material is delivered. This full-time teaching position is for the 2023-2024 school year.
