Instructor - Environmental Engineering jobs in Lancaster, PA

This position will perform operations for waste collection, containerization, management and associated functions. In addition, will perform general manual labor tasks associated with industrial/commercial waste management operations.

• Identify, remove, pack, transport, or dispose of contaminated materials
• May operate earth-moving equipment or trucks
• Must be adaptable and hands-on with the workflow
• Must have the ability to wear a tight-fitting, negative-pressure respirator and occlusive chemical protective clothing.
• Requires working on uneven work surfaces frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of varying and often awkward sizes, shapes, and weights including bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling drums, totes, and containers, and handling of tank truck hoses.
• May use hand manual and power hand tools hand shovel with exposure to noise and vibration.
• Exposure to elements including heat and cold stress and nuisance dust conditions
• Perform a wide variety of manual labor tasks associated with industrial and commercial waste management operations
• Practice Companies and OSHA safety rules and regulations
• Flexibility with overtime
• May be required to work some weekends
• Team Oriented
• Valid driver’s license
• Frequently lift 40-50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
• Periodic to frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals with designated personal protective equipment
• Must be willing and able to work 45-50 hours, or more, per week based on department needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
