Job Summary
Elizabethtown Community & Technical College Upward Bound Math & Science program is seeking a part-time, temporary Foreign Language Instructor for its Summer Academy program June 2 - July 12. The Foreign Language Instructor will teach various levels of one foreign language to include, but not limited to Spanish, French, American Sign Language, or Chinese.
Job Duties:
• Preparing course plans and materials.
• Design grade-appropriate curriculum based on Kentucky state standards of learning.
• Delivering in-seat courses to high school students grades 9-12.
• Evaluating student progress.
• Provide tutoring as needed.
• Teach two – three sections Monday-Friday In-Person/ 2-3 virtual review sessions.
• Attend instructor meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in STEM, education, counseling, or related field, and a minimum of one year teaching experience.

The ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and adjust to changing priorities is necessary. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes both daytime and evening hours. Must be willing to serve as a chaperone to UBMS students during the cultural trip from July 8-11, 2024.
