Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Geological Sciences typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     Requirements

    Working hand-in-hand with the company's Vice President of Geosciences, Senior Geologist, engineering team and land team, the GeoTech will be involved with the following:

    • Create, update and maintain projects in Petra and Kingdom.  Work with GIS products including ArcGIS.
    • Build cross sections and maps in Petra.
    • Create reports to review prospect inventory and project submittals.
    • Prepare asset development presentations, including detailed maps, production plots, cross-sections and summaries.
    • Download data from sources such as I.H.S., Drilling Info and TGS including well data production data, raster logs, LAS logs and maintain such in the Petra database. Research and retrieve well logs, production, scout tickets, directional surveys, location plats and completion data,
    • Manipulate digital well log data, including mnemonic management and log calculations.
    • Construct fundamental maps such as production, tops and thickness from Petra.
    • Assist in maintaining stratigraphic sections, type logs, and other basic maps as needed.
    • Construct field drilling development maps to scale.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 4 Years of professional experience as a GeoTech, Geological Technician, Geological Analyst or related role.
    • Experience working with Petra in a professional, E&P environment, supporting geologists in an active development program.
    • Can-do attitude, entrepreneurial spirit and high-energy attitude.  This is a dynamic environment, full of opportunities for the right individual!
