Instructor - History teaches courses in the discipline area of history. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - History provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - History typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Job SummaryProvides technical assistance in the documentation and clarification of medication history lists under the direction of the pharmacist. Processes, enters, and interprets physician/nurse medication histories, under the direction of the pharmacist, and completes full history documentation in computerized system. Clarifies information through communication with providers, patients, and pharmacies. Performs special projects for the department. Works with multiple medication automation systems.Essential Functions
- Provides professional customer service as a liaison between the pharmacy department and patients/caregivers. Interacts with prescriber as needed.
- Processes physician/nurse/pharmacist obtained patient histories and enters into the computer system and assists in maintaining patient profiles.
- Reviews profile for allergies, duplication of drugs, and last doses and brings these to the attention of the pharmacist.
- Checks and verifies accuracy of patient profiles.
- Maintains clean and organized work area.
- Maintains all requirements for CPhT certifications. Completes all Spectrum Health assigned competencies by assigned due dates.
- Perform quality assurance data collection, collation, and presentation.
Qualifications- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Associate's Degree health care or related field
- 1 year of relevant experience Pharmacy Required
- 2 years of relevant experience Retail Pharmacy Preferred
- LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATE_MI State of Michigan required Or
- LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan required And
- CRT-Pharmacy Technician, Certified (CPHT) - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board 90 Days required Or
- CRT-Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - NHA National Healthcareer Association 90 Days required
