Being an Instructor - History provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - History typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Working Conditions
Work is completed at a recreational facility, on and around personal fitness equipment. Work may need to be indoors and outdoors.
Standard office equipment that include, computers and software packages, fax and copy machines, telephones, cash registers. Standard exercise equipment includes weights, dumbbells, body bars, steps, fitness balls, and other equipment associated with use in a recreational exercise facility.
Physical Requirements
May require long periods of standing or sitting and may require a lot of walking. Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to lead fitness classes.
