Instructor - Industrial Engineering jobs in Kingsport, TN

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team. As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to various surfaces in an industrial setting. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare surface which could include hand sanding, wire brushing, scraping, grinding, using a needle gun, pressure washing up to 5000 psi and abrasive blasting.

- Using hand and/or power tools (conventional/airless) to mix and/or apply paints, coatings, and wall coverings.

- Installation of wall coverings requires the use of measuring, cutting, and rolling devices.

Experience:
- Previous experience as an Industrial Painter or similar role

-Pay is based upon experience
- Knowledge of auto painting techniques is preferred
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, power tools, and hand tools
- Experience operating a forklift and performing warehouse duties
- Basic understanding of materials handling and machining processes
- Ability to operate a crane is a plus

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Able to safely lift and carry up to 90 lbs.

- Respirator mask must be worn

- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures applicable to a chemical plant environment.

- Attending work regularly as scheduled and being flexible to work varied shifts and/or overtime as needed.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
