We have an opening for an Inside Sales Representative to support our efforts in the Hampton, Virginia, general trade area and to grow military and government focused business around the Nation. The primary position responsibilities include full customer service and sales support, developing customer relationships, and profitably selling our products and services to existing and potential new customers. This position will enhance customer satisfaction and meet our sales and profitability goals.
Sales Area: National Footprint
Duties/Responsibilities:

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and financial goals established by the company.

Manage and grow new customer business through sales initiatives, while continuing to expand product sales with current customers.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with all established accounts while building foundations for new customer relationships.

Process all customer-related business from quotations through sales, shipment and delivery of the products ordered by our customers and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

When items are not in stock, this position will source, purchase, and coordinate with vendors to meet customer’s requirements.

Sell, service, and promote Singer Industrial’s product line to external customers.

Propose innovative ideas to increase market share and customer satisfaction.

Solve issues that arise from staff or customers.

Stay in contact with customers to review, discuss and provide their evolving needs.

Develop and implement new sales initiatives, when opportunities arise.

Maintain professionalism in the workplace.

Perform any other assigned proprietary duties.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to establish and execute work priorities.

Demonstrated professional experience working with customers and/or the public.

Must have working knowledge of hose application, production and testing equipment and related services.

Ability to effectively negotiate on behalf of the company without sacrificing quality.

Must be able to coordinate and handle large volumes of work and simultaneously meet all customer delivery deadlines.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work self-directed or in a collaborative environment.
Education and Experience:

3 Years of experience sourcing and selling to the US Military and Government
-
Minimum of 3 years’ hose industry experience required.

Working knowledge of hose products and applications is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
