Family Law Paralegal

The Virga Law Firm P.A. is looking for an experienced family law paralegal to join our firm in our Pensacola office. Compensation shall be based on experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Organize, and maintain client and office files.
• Communicating effectively with clients (via in-person, Zoom, phone or email).
• Preparing and drafting motions, pleadings, judgments, statements, Financial Affidavits, Child Support Worksheets, financial disclosures, and discovery responses.
• Engaging and assisting in hearing and trial preparation.
• Preparing and drafting correspondence and other case administration documents as needed, at the direction of the attorney.
• Coordinate, schedule and docket, calendar meetings, calls and client tasks.
• E-filing pleadings, motions, exhibits and other court related documents.
• Calendaring deadlines.
• Scheduling appointments, court appearances, mediations, and depositions.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or certification in paralegal studies preferred
• Proven experience working as a paralegal in family law or related field
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in using document management systems and legal software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures in family law cases
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy of legal documents
• Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
