THIS POSITION’S ROLE WITH OUR TEAM: A PROFESSIONAL LAW CLERK

We are looking for a person who will enable our team to have a larger positive impact by helping the team to grow and help more consumers.

A successful candidate must have the following key skills and demonstrate prior success with them:

• Organization and investigative skills and high-level writing ability.
• Should understand the value of established systems and checklists for efficient legal production and as an accountability tool.
• With the support of a team move cases forward in a timely manner, using high level skills to organize and employs technology tools available in Microsoft Office, Adobe, MyCase, and Casemap, Sanction, and related programs for managing deadlines, tasks and workflows.
• Ability to produce legal production (writing, research, analysis, investigation) working with counsel inside and outside the firm and other supportive team members.
• Must be highly adept at the use of various software applications and enjoy learning
• Internally motivated to improve and to help firm adopt more efficient and valuable procedures to bring value to clients, in the form of legal production and administrative systems/checklists.

Lead Role: The AFL Law Clerk is the initial investigator of facts fand law for each case applying AFL research and investigation tools and procedures.

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF THE JOB:

A candidate for this team role must be able to show evidence of your prior success.  By demonstrating:

• Analysis of facts and applicable law
• Drafting Legal Memorandum: Analyzing Caselaw, Drafting Discovery Requests, Motions for Summary Judgment
• Interest in Plaintiff’s work
• Experience working in office setting

COMPENSATION

Starting Compensation is dependent upon skills and experience with role requirements.

The compensation package includes an incentive program commensurate with performance. Metrics and key productivity indicators are defined. KPIs will be specifically tied to growth to meet the Firm’s vision of helping more clients, and by creating opportunities for committed and successful team members.
