Position Overview:

Are you a meticulous accounting professional seeking an opportunity to contribute to a law firm's success? CGA is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and assisting with financial reporting processes, ensuring the seamless financial operations of our firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review all invoices for accuracy and proper documentation, prioritizing payments based on terms and discounts.
• Process vendor payments accurately and on time, including scheduling and preparing checks.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including processing client payments, reconciling accounts, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Provide support to the billing specialist, assisting with invoice preparation and resolving billing-related inquiries.
• Reconcile financial transactions, verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Respond to vendor inquiries, provide documentation, and reconcile vendor statements promptly.
• Process employee reimbursements, ensuring expense reports are accurate and approvals are obtained.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth operation of the accounting department and supporting the needs of the law firm.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, bookkeeping, or related field is beneficial.
• 2 years of experience in accounting, law firm or professional services experience is helpful.
• Proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable principles.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines effectively.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
