Instructor - Liberal Arts teaches courses in the discipline area of liberal arts. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Liberal Arts provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Liberal Arts typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. A teaching certificate is NOT required to be hired for this position. Requirements include 4 years of work experience in a Culinary field. An Associate Degree and/or certifications are helpful but not required.

The Culinary Arts instructor will teach Foods & Nutrition, Culinary I, and Culinary II courses to high school scholars. The focus is Industry Certification for ServSafe. The instructor will also have an opportunity to work with the student organizations SkillsUSA and FCCLA.
