Instructor - Mathematics teaches courses in the discipline area of mathematics and statistics. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Mathematics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Mathematics typically reports to a department head. Stevenson School is a PK-12 co-educational, college-preparatory, boarding and day school with enrollment of 770 students on two campuses in beautiful Central Coast California. The Upper Division campus (Grades 9-12) is located in Pebble Beach. The Lower/Middle Campus (Grades PK-8) is in nearby Carmel-by-the-Sea. Stevenson School is seeking a Mathematics Teacher, Grades 5-8, to start in August 2024. The successful candidate will have a high level of content expertise, along with prior experience in developing and delivering comprehensive curriculum, lesson plans, and student-centered teaching of mathematics to middle school students, including pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry. An interest in and ability to teach computer science and/or support the School’s robotics team is a considerable plus. The teacher will be a member of our middle school faculty team on the Carmel campus.

The anticipated annual salary for this position is $52,000 - $125,000, based on experience.
