These projects will help us with process improvement, design standardization, and building resources for the department. There will be a mixture of solo and group projects. You will work with experienced engineers and individuals from other departments. There will be a weekly group meeting with the Intern Supervisor and Director of Engineering to discuss the status of your projects and to receive feedback. You will also have weekly 1-on-1 check-ins with the Intern Supervisor. These check-ins will help establish your goals and will provide you with guidance and encouragement. These projects are meaningful to the department and will help improve overall efficiency. You will be able to see your projects implemented and used by the engineering team.
You will gain significant experience using SolidWorks and PDM through daily use and structured tutorials. Proper modeling and drafting practices, as well as time-saving tips and techniques, will be introduced regularly, developing you into an adept and agile modeler.
