Instructor - Mechanical Engineering jobs in Passaic, NJ

• Contract position for a Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for the mechanical design, development and sustaining support for new and on-market products.
• Apply expertise for design, engineering and manufacturing processes of medical products.
• Work with teams to conceive, develop, and transfer to manufacturing mechanical design solutions.
• Participate in developing, reviewing, and establishing design objectives, requirements, and specifications.
• Create conceptual and detailed design models using MCAD software.
• Create engineering simulations of mechanical product performance using various methods and tools (first principles, numerical simulation, etc.), and/or lead the activities of others.
• Collaborate with other engineering functions.
• Develop schedule and planned deliverables and coordinates with Program Management.
• Develop prototype hardware using internal manufacturing resources and outside vendors.
• Create protocols and performs tests on prototypes and product to verify the design.
• Prepares and processes engineering change notices.
• Writes detailed technical reports.

• BS / MS Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience in design and product development of electro-mechanical assemblies including technical supervision of sub-projects.
• Experience designing and documenting components, assemblies and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with SolidWorks and MCAD/CAE software.
• Experience with GD&T.
• Experience performing thermal and structural analysis, and vibration testing / analysis.
• Knowledge of FDA, IEC and UL standards relating to medical electronic equipment.
• Ability to operate measurement and test equipment
