Instructor - Mechanical Engineering jobs in Saint Louis, MO

Mechanical Drafters are responsible for supporting the engineering group in new product development, customer specific products, production engineering, and quality initiatives. They should be able to multitask on a variety of projects in a positive and professional manner, with a strong ability to work in a fast paced, highly detailed and deadline driven environment.

Job Specification: Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Utilize Solidworks to create detailed tablet and tool drawings based on specific customer needs

* Experience with Driveworks a plus

· Revise existing drawings based on customer feedback

· Check work order/project requests against drawings to verify adherence to customer Tablet/Tool Design specifications and standards

· Create tooling prints for production from work order

· Maintain accuracy of CAD files, technical documentation, and mechanical BOM

Qualifications and requirements

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· General knowledge of drafting (tolerances/dimensions)

· Ability to read and understand blueprints and work orders

· Knowledge of steel types

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office

* DRIVEWORKS (Automation Software for SOLIDWORKS) Experience a plus

Experience

· Associates degree in Mechanical CAD Drafting, but will consider experience instead of a degree

· Experience with 3D CAD required

physical requirements

· Ability to lift, pull, push, or carry several types of light weight files or tools (approximately 1-10 pounds) and process accordingly

· Ability to sit at a desk using a computer for eight or more hours per day

· Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and walk as required throughout the workday to accomplish various tasks
