Instructor - Medicine teaches courses in the discipline area of medicine. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Medicine provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Medicine typically reports to a department head. May require a license to practice medicine. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Performs clinical duties under the direction of the physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing and coding for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, scanning patient information into chart and returning patient phone calls concerning medications. This position will be assisting the provider with procedures. Phlebotomy is a plus.
Requirement: 3 years' experience in a medical practice.
Hours will be 7:45-4:30 Monday thru Thursday; 7:45 to 12:00 Friday (hours may be subject to change depending on need).
