Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Medicine typically reports to a department head. May require a license to practice medicine. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field.     Mountain Spirit is a dynamic team featuring dozens of integrative healthcare professionals. Together we offer quality modern Primary Care Medicine (Family Nurse Practitioners offering annual exams, prescriptions, sick visits, wellness coaching), natural Traditional Medicine (Acupuncture/Oriental Medicine, Chiropractic, Naprapathy, Homeopathy, Herbal Medicines), Medical Massage and Manual Therapy Modalities (including Occupational Therapy), plus Colon Hydrotherapy, and Medi-Spa Aesthetics (Botanical Facials, LED / Micro-Current Facial Sculpting, Cosmetic Acupuncture, SkinPen Microneedling Collagen Induction) and much more.

    Since opening our doors in 2006 to the first Mountain Spirit clinic, we are proud to have served over 10,000 patients, and now routinely field inquiries from more than 200 New Patients to our practice each month. Our Team of Practitioners provide care 7 days a week within 17 thoughtfully designed treatment rooms inside 3 beautiful clinics; now featuring our beautiful expansion to the Nob Hill, Albuquerque neighborhood opened in January, 2021.

    Our Practitioners enjoy comprehensive support from our Team of over 10 Full-Time Staff, as well as plenty of convenient parking at each clinic location. We have the distinct honor of being recognized among the Best Alternative Healing Practitioners in northern NM annually since 2016, including being voted 1st Place Best Acupuncture and Best Alternative Healing, by the Santa Fe Reporter annually from 2020 through 2022; and being voted the same by ABQ's The Paper readers for 2021!

    We have developed our exceptional success by providing effective medical treatments, supported by warm friendly staff, within beautiful environments, while offering competitive pay for all members of our Team.
    The successful DOM (or DOM/Allopath) Candidate must:
    * Provide quality and dynamic hour-long Acupuncture and Oriental Medical care independently. This requires offering a wide range of AOM services, including
    mastery of Acupuncture, Cupping, Moxibustion, TuiNa / handwork; effective and safe prescribing of patent herbal formulas; and at least one AOM microsystem.

    * Practice cooperatively with manual/massage therapists, often providing care the same day. Dialogue together with Primary Care Practitioners and other Allied
    Health Professionals, both within our team as well as when generating / receiving referrals from other local providers and facilities.

    * Provide exceptional, detailed SOAP notation using our Electronic Health Records system. Quality of notation must consistently justify separately identifiable
    Evaluation & Management “Office Visits” for AOM patient visits, sufficient to meet the notation requirements of all major insurance companies and third party payors.

    * Routinely make Patient Care available on a weekly basis, for at least 32 patient visits per week; at least 46 weeks annually.

    * Willingness to commit in writing to working Exclusively within our Clinics, for all of your DOM / Medical / Healthcare services provided, for a period of not less than 3 years (36 consecutive months).

    * Be open to a flexible schedule inclusive of Evening and Weekend appointments.

    * Clearly communicate treatment planning with patients, including visit frequency, herbal and nutritional supplementation, nutritional therapies, and lifestyle /
    wellness coaching.

    Candidates with the following skills are highly encouraged to apply:
    * Successful experience working in a related medical profession and/or integrative clinical setting.
    * Demonstrated experience serving a special population or healthcare need. For example: women's health; mens health; fertility promotion; natal care; trauma survivors; cosmetic/aesthetics; geriatrics; rehabilitation; etc.
    * Bilingual fluency in Spanish is desired, but not required.
    * Preference is given to those DOMs who are trained in massage of any kind - most especially Chi Nei Tsang (traditional abdominal massage), Arvigo Method Mayan Abdominal Massage, Well breast Massage; or dually trained in Functional Medicine, Integrative Medicine; have Doctorates in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine; current or past licenses as Registered Nurses, allopathic medical providers, and/or medical assistants.

    Our Clinics have premium standards for COVID19 safety protocols, including;

    • Pre-screening all patients: approximately 90% of whom are local New Mexicans, and all of whom have not traveled out of state within the previous 2 weeks, to qualify for in-person visits
    • Verified normal body temperatures
    • All wipeable surfaces that are thoroughly cleaned between each treatment
    • Thoughtfully limiting amount of patients in waiting areas for proper social distancing
    • Touchless payments / scheduling online or by phone
    • Online forms - reduced paper handling
    • Surgical grade HEPA air purifiers in each treatment room which filter air of the entire room every 15 minutes
    • Patients and providers wear masks at all times; and/or follow then-current NMDOH developed PPE guidelines
