Position SummaryThe Department of Medicine, Section of Hospital Medicine of the LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA is seeking three (3) physicians, ABIM broad eligible/certified (or equivalent) in Internal Medicine for faculty positions at the rank of Instructor (non-tenure, clinical track) to serve as Chief Residents.
Incumbents will provide clinical hospitalist services in the private/public sectors to include instructions of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as research and patient care. Administrative duties will encompass preparing the yearly master schedule for the internal medicine and combined program residents; the Ambulatory Clinic schedule; and the monthly call schedules for University Medical Center – New Orleans, Touro Infirmary, Ochsner Medical Center-Kenner, and other locations as identified during the fiscal year.
