We are seeking experienced, passionate and dedicated brass and woodwind instructors to teach beginner to advanced students ages 6 to adult on Thursdays 3:30-8PM at our BSM South - Indian Land - studio.
Ballantyne School of Music offers instruction for guitar, bass, drums, vocals, strings, piano, and a variety of other musical instruments, hosts student recitals, and has a performance/ensemble program for students 10-17 years of age. (Opportunities to manage bands and facilitate camps and workshops may be available in the future.)
Music degree is not necessary, but previous teaching experience is preferred. Solid understanding of music theory and ability to read and teach standard notation is required. Performance experience and ability to teach multiple instruments is a plus.
Applicants must live within a 45-minute commute (maximum) of the studio, be able to work a daily schedule of 4 hours and commit to at least 12 months. Opportunities to substitute for instructors may also be available, if a long-term commitment is not possible.
