Instructor - Nursing teaches courses in the discipline area of nursing. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Part time faculty are responsible for teaching requested Nursing clinical rotations. We are recruiting for the following clinical areas: RN Skills Lab and Clinical in Acute Care and Long Term Care Settings. Teaching assignments will include on-site clinical instruction at multiple healthcare facilities and may include day, evening, and weekend classes. Part-time faculty must be able to work collegially in a team environment. This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible position. Employment is determined on a course to course, semester to semester basis.
Salary Range:
The pay for this position in an acute care setting is your hourly hospital pay rate. For skills or simulation lab on campus, the rate is $27.50 per hour.
