Instructor - Nursing teaches courses in the discipline area of nursing. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Job Summary
As an NA Instructor, you will teach students the Nursing Assistant curriculum as assigned which may include lecture, laboratory and clinical skills training. Your RN experience in a long-term care facility will prep you to understand and review lesson plans and prepare for class instruction, grade and electronically record assignments, actively promote student retention, support clinicals as applicable, and perform related work as required.
