Being an Instructor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. SUMMARY:
The Associate Degree Nursing Instructor is responsible to the Director of Associate Degree Nursing. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops, implements and evaluates the program of learning.
2. Develops standards for the admission, progression, and graduation of students.
3. Participates in academic advisement.
4. Participates in the activities of the total faculty of the parent institution in ways that benefit the institution, the unit in nursing, and the faculty.
5. Participates in professional and community activities for the purpose of bringing education, service, and research findings together for the improvement of health care.
6. Meets all requirements listed in the general Classroom Instructor job description.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
