Job Summary: Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Associate Degree Nursing Instructor and may be required to travel to other campuses to meet operational requirements. The Nursing Faculty is responsible for performing all aspects of instruction for courses within the nursing program at GNTC. The faculty member will be responsible for curriculum, instruction, and will be an integral part of the student educational experience. The faculty member will provide engaged instruction; develop curricula; conduct program, course, and student outcomes assessment; direct and supervise the activities of preceptors in a clinical facility; and advise and support students. Required Qualifications: Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Georgia; Faculty members shall hold an MSN degree and have the expertise and professional development necessary to enable the goals/outcomes of the curriculum; BLS through American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience teaching in a nursing program; Multi-State Licensure; Computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office; Previous experience with Black Board LMS; Curriculum design and development;
Physical Demands: Work is typically performed in a classroom or office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects to a light to medium weight. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes. If the job involves driving, physical requirements include the ability to operate a vehicle and sit for extended periods.
Salary: $72,000
Benefits: If this is a part-time position, no benefits are available. If this is a full-time position, benefits include: 13 paid State holidays, annual and sick leave, a State of Georgia benefits package that includes Health, Dental, Vision, Life, etc. A choice of two retirement systems: Teachers Retirement System of Georgia or the Employee’s Retirement System of Georgia based upon position and 401K options.
