Instructor - Nursing teaches courses in the discipline area of nursing. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Gurnick Academy is seeking an experienced RN Didactic and/or Clinical Instructor, Part-Time with emphasis in Pediatric Nursing for our Concord BSN Nursing Program, CA Campus.
Basic Function
The primary function of the Didactic and/or Clinical Instructor is to teach the Gurnick Nursing students in the classroom or Medical Facility/Clinic for the Concord Campus, Medical-Surgical Curriculum.Requirements
- Current and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of California
- A Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) Degree from an accredited college or university
- 3 years of continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last 5 years
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators
- Ability to use computers and other technologies for teaching and learning
Job Type: Part-time
Hourly Pay Range: $42.50 – $55.00 per hour
