The Part-Time Simulation Instructor, Nursing will be responsible for facilitating the operation of simulation experiences in the Nursing programs to support learning outcomes. The instructor will collaborate with the simulation and course coordinators to develop and implement simulation activities and ensure adherence to program policies, course objectives, program outcomes and current simulation best practice and safety measures.

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing. Note: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
- Two years or more of nursing experience.
- Work experience and/or teaching experience in Women’s Health, Newborn and/or Pediatrics
- Unrestricted RN license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing. Note: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
- Successful teaching experience.
Essential Duties

- Assists in developing and implementing detailed clinically- based scenarios for the computerized simulators; operates and maintains computerized simulation equipment.
- Provides pre and post briefing sessions with each simulation experience.
- Provides timely, constructive, and thoughtful verbal feedback to students regarding simulation performance, and progress toward the achievement of learning outcomes.
- Prepares and maintains labs and simulated patient care environments with equipment, supplies, media, computers, and materials needed to replicate virtual healthcare settings.
- Collaborates with Course Coordinators and faculty to ensure preparation of lab supplies and equipment based on faculty requests, course schedule, and accurate content.
- Coordinates and supervises students to ensure that simulation experiences meet course objectives; provides individual oversight to students for practice and/or remediation on technical skills as requested by faculty and students.
- Facilitates simulation equipment care and maintenance.
- Engages in professional development opportunities around simulation.
- Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all college and departmental policies and guidelines.
