Instructor - Physical Therapy teaches courses in the discipline area of physical therapy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Physical Therapy provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Physical Therapy typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Duties:
- Instruct patients through personalized exercise programs developed by PT based on clients' needs, goals, and any existing medical conditions
- Instruct and demonstrate proper exercise techniques to clients, ensuring safety and effectiveness
- Provide guidance and motivation to clients during exercise sessions
- Communicate with PTs regarding what you will be doing with the patients and how they did with an exercise program
-Help at the front desk when needed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of exercise principles and techniques
- Proficient in instructing/demonstrating exercise programs for individuals with various fitness levels and goals
- In-depth understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics
- Ability to effectively communicate and motivate clients of all ages and fitness levels
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
As a PT aide, you will work closely with PT and patients providing instruction on proper exercise techniques.
