Instructor - Physical Therapy teaches courses in the discipline area of physical therapy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Physical Therapy provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Physical Therapy typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Assists Therapist under their direct supervision in providing treatment and exercise set up. Assists in maintaining a smooth flow of activity in the office. Prepares treatment rooms, escorts patients to rooms, prepares patient as appropriate for treatment, and notifies therapist that patient is ready for treatment. Cleans treatment rooms after use. Maintains a clean clinic.
Must be able to communicate with patients and staff clearly and effectively. Applicant must be physically able to stand, walk, and lift; and assist patients with exercises most of the day.
