Instructor - Physical Therapy teaches courses in the discipline area of physical therapy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Physical Therapy provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Physical Therapy typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. QUALIFICATIONS
Physical and Sensory Requirements (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices):
Mobility (includes walking, good balance), reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, ability to see and hear, ability to read and write, ability to communicate with Patients, family members, personnel, and ability to remain calm under stress.
1. Graduate from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
2. Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of current practice.
3. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
4. Must possess problem-solving skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
5. Must possess good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to Patients, Patients family members, and Facility staff
6. Must meet all local health regulations, pass post-offer drug test, and pass post-employment physical exam if required.
7. Must be capable of performing the Responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
