General Description | This faculty position requires on-site presence and is not a remote opportunity. The successful candidate will be expected to fulfill their duties and responsibilities in person. The purpose of this position is to instruct classes and labs as assigned by the Dean and to develop new courses. This is accomplished by maintaining requisite office hours; providing academic advisement to students; serving on college committees; attending meetings; participating in professional development activities; and performing all instructional-related activities as directed within the policies, guidelines, and regulations of Northeast Community College. |
Qualifications: Education | A Master's degree in related physics or engineering disciplines required. |
Qualification:Experience | Teaching experience at a community college level is preferred. Industry experience in related fields will be considered as equivalent for teaching experience. |
Qualification:Skills | In addition to knowledge of physics and/or engineering, applicants should be able to demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills as well as familiarity with technology and software used to enhance instruction. The ability to adapt to various learning situations from individuals to groups is key to this position. |
