Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Physics typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     Physics Instructor

    The Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics (OSSM) is seeking an instructor to teach college-level physics courses.

    OSSM is an academic emphasis, 2-year, residential high school located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. OSSM is currently ranked fifth best high school in America (Niche.com).

    General Characteristics and Qualifications

    Possesses:

    • The professionalism, maturity, excellence, and teamwork that aligns with the OSSM mission and values.
    • A passionate and enthusiastic teaching approach with a student-centered mindset.
    • Strong academic credentials with a master’s degree in physics or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
    • Experience teaching advanced and introductory courses such as General Physics, Mechanics, and Electricity & Magnetism at the undergraduate or high school level.

    Salary

    Competitive and commensurate with credentials.
