PT Admin Medical Billing Specialist Needed for Growing Psychology Practice
DC Psychological Wellness Group prides itself in providing high quality care to each individual. Our team of experts specialize in treating a wide range of psychological health concerns from preventative well-being enhancement to the treatment of common psychological health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma related disorders.
We are growing and are looking for an experienced person who can handle both serve as a Billing Manager to be responsible for overseeing the full billing process for all patients. Duties include:
-Maintaining organized financial records to identify unpaid claims.
-Updating co-payment or payment amounts in client records when deductibles are met or co-pay amounts change
-Reaching out to clients daily to inform them of overdue balances and changing co-payments or payment amounts
-Reaching out to insurance companies to investigate rejected or missing claims
-Identify processes and workflow enhancements as needed.
- Following up on insurance related requests for client reimbursement
-Providing invoices to clients upon request and answering their billing questions
-Updating financial data (such as changes in co-pays) into individual accounts
The position would entail a mixture of on site work (one morning a week) and telework. Hours are flexible.
Required Experience:
· 5 years prior experience performing medical office revenue cycle duties and collections experience
· Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
· Experience in working with Carefirst insurance companies
*Familiarity with the online psychology software program TherapyNotes is a plus
