Instructor - Psychology teaches courses in the discipline area of psychology. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Psychology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Psychology typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Education/Skills
Required: Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Psychology or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least 18 graduate semester hours in a qualifying field. Good communication skills.
Preferred: Master's degree in Psychology. Bilingual.
Experience
Preferred: Some teaching experience at the community college level. Some experience with instructional delivery via distance learning.
