Instructor - Psychology teaches courses in the discipline area of psychology. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Psychology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Psychology typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     Job Description
    SUMMARY

    Conducts college courses for undergraduate students by performing the following duties.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned and/or included in the Faculty Handbook.

    Teaches psychology and Introduction to Humanities within prescribed curriculum.
    Prepares and delivers lectures to students.
    Compiles bibliographies of specialized materials for outside reading assignments.
    Stimulates class discussions.
    Compiles, administers, and grades examinations.
    Performs related duties such as advising students on academic and vocational curricula, and acting as adviser to student organizations.
    Serves on faculty committees.
    Performs assessments to measure student learning outcomes
    Performs other duties as assigned by the department chair
