Black Hills Psychology (BHP) is a group psychology practice of psychologists, therapists, and a medication provider. BHP is currently looking for a Receptionist to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our providers and patients and is a key component of the exceptional patient care that BHP provides.
Responsibilities:
· Patient check-in
· Patient scheduling
· Handle patient phone calls
· Collect co-pays, gather insurance information, check benefits
· Follow up with patients regarding questions, concerns, provider messages, etc.
· Prepare and submit prior authorizations for services
· Obtain necessary ROIs/records from patients when requested from provider, and manage outgoing requests and records as needed
· Send out and track intake packets to patients, and any other necessary/requested information
· Document patient communications via phone note or email encounter note
· Communicate messages from patients to providers
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Knowledge of or interest in mental health
· Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
· Previous computer experience with the ability to learn new applications
· Previous experience with an EHR would be a bonus but is not required
· Good prioritization skills
· Dependable and team player
· Good multi-tasking and critical thinking skills
· Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and commitment to quality
· High level of professionalism and demonstrated comfort level in speaking directly to external and internal providers/patients
