Ohio Therapy Center and Psychological Services is a private practice located in Mahoning County, OH. We provide individual, couples, and family therapy to individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds. We utilize an eclectic approach to therapy (Person-Centered, CBT, ACT, DBT, Multicultrual, etc.) but at our core believe that individuals are experts of their own lives as we strive to create a therapeutic atmosphere that is welcoming, supportive, and validating. We also provide intellectual testing for concerns surrounding learning disorders, and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
Objective of Post Doctoral Position
Ohio Therapy Center's Postdoc program is centered around guiding psychology post doctorates towards the next step in their career. Through supervision and didactic trainings post docs will continue to cultivate their knowledge base surrounding ethics, multiculturalism, professional development, and preparing for national and state licensing exams. In addition, postdocs will have opportunities to learn more about the inner workings of private practice from both a clinical and business standpoint. Our goal is to not only prepare post docs for licensure in the state of Ohio, but to aid in the development of successful early career Psychologists.
Supervision
Post-docs will receive two hours of supervision with a licensed Psychologist per week, as well as an additional hour of group supervision/didactic trainings. Didactics will have the opportunity to be tailored to specific interests of post doc trainees, and include opportunities to conduct case presentations and trainings.
Applicants
Applicants must be graduates from Clinical or Counseling Psychology programs (PsyD or PhD). Start date is negotiable. Interviews will be conducted in person unless otherwise discussed.
