Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Rehabilitation provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Rehabilitation typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. This position is a community based position responsible for providing Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (PRS) to individuals 18 years and older. The goal of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (PRS) is to teach skills that help those diagnosed with mental illness live and work in their communities as independently as possible. The life domains of living, wellness, learning, working, and socializing are the areas that we work within with clients.
The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker will conduct initial and ongoing functional assessments, develop recovery-oriented rehabilitation plans with individuals enrolled in the program, and provide person-centered skills teaching. The Psych Rehab Worker will promote recovery by helping individuals make progress towards their goals and document their progress, goal attainment, and the continued need for services.
