A part-time instructor is responsible for teaching in the subject area or areas that correspond to his or her area of specialty (Social Work). As part of the job, it is expected that he or she can plan, organize and teach in a manner that insures the achievement of the institution’s learning objectives. A part-time instructor contributes to the academic process of the institution through the participation in the development of curriculums, valuation, investigation, community service, advancement of the institution, and the academic growth of the students in the school.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Doctoral Level Program

• Doctorate degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited program. Candidates with the following areas of specialization in human conduct are encouraged to apply: Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Direct Services, Welfare Services, Leadership, Evaluation, Research or Community Services.

Master Level Program

• Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited program. Candidates with the following areas of specialization in human conduct are encouraged to apply: Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Direct Services, Welfare Services or Community Services.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years of postmaster social work experience
• Demonstrable competencies in the field of social research with actual professional presentations, publications, trainings or research completed or in process.
• High level knowledge of the social work delivery system in the United States.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (oral and written) required.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Active state license or accreditation in social work.
• Teaching experience at a higher education institution.
• Professional formation in an academic setting.
