Instructor - Social Work teaches courses in the discipline area of social work. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Social Work provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Social Work typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Work Hours: Part time 2 days (16 hours) per week with weekend and holiday rotation and on-call rotation per department needs
This position is chiefly responsible for complex transition of care post hospitalization to include psychosocial assessment, consultation, education, community linkage, crisis intervention, and support services for referred patients and families. The position supports the provision of health care services and appropriate utilization of resources across the continuum of care.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in social work or a bachelor's degree in a human services field including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology.
One year supervised social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals.
Basic computer skills.
Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.
Preferred:
Masters Degree in Social Work; License in Social Work
