• County systems including Eligibility Services, Mnchoice tool, assessment and processes to determine eligibility, Social Service Information System, Minnesota Government Access (MGA)
• Adult Protection Services (APS) tools and safety planning, APS grants and state/federal driven goals
• The intersection of financial services and assessments in order to access certain services, etc. 
• County division integration
• Data privacy and ethical considerations
• Community resources including Social Security, Veterans Services, area shelters, local advocacy groups, hospitals
• Building professional relationships and collaborations
• Client Centered Practices

• Current enrollment in an accredited college pursuing a master’s degree in social work, psychology or another closely related major.
• MSW students in their final year of graduate school at the time of the internship.
• Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher.
• Ability to commit to 600 hours for internship (August 2024-April 2025).
• Ability to conduct oneself professionally and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality in a variety of work settings.
• Ability to further develop skill set, critical thinking in the internship site, standard operating procedure, and responsibilities for future practice.
