Job Summary:
Chloeta is seeking qualified instructors for a variety of training opportunities centered around Emergency Management and Homeland Security for clients at the Local, State, Tribal and Federal level. These opportunities could include basic level classes up through Incident Management Team position specific training as well as highly specialized areas of instruction. Candidates may be considered for the Lead or Unit level instructor or Subject Matter Expert positions for these classes.

Compensation:
- Exempt
- $40-49 per hour

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide quality instruction and subject matter expertise to support all elements of training development and delivery as needed.
- Utilize lectures, demonstrations, guided discussions, case studies and practical assignments to achieve course learning objectives.
- Design and implement an effective learning environment for all class participants.
- Administer and record written and/or practical evaluations as needed.
- Ensure class participants meet course objectives and work with individual participants not making adequate progress.
- Evaluate course syllabus for improvement or revision and make recommendations for changes as necessary.
- Supervise and facilitate group projects, classroom exercises or practical training.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have extensive knowledge and experience in the subjects being instructed.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as having the ability to instruct in large groups of students.
- Must be able to function and contribute as a member of a high performing team in a classroom or field (practical) setting.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Must have knowledge of the National Incident Management System (NIMS), Hospital Incident Command System (HICS), the National Response Framework (NRF) and Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP)
Education and Experience:
- Required: 10 years of experience working within one of the emergency response disciplines that support all-hazard incident response including, but not limited to: law enforcement, fire service, emergency management, emergency medical service, hazardous materials, Governmental administrative, healthcare, public health, public safety communication, public works, agriculture, education, citizen/community volunteer, information technology, security and safety, search and rescue, and transportation. Comparable military experience or federal/private sector experience may be acceptable.
- Required: Instructors must have all-hazards experience with man-made, natural disasters, or CBRNE. This may be documented by related work experience (civilian or military) required in one or more of these areas: international, federal, state or local disaster response and disaster relief, natural disaster management, CBRNE incident response and management, agro-terrorism events, Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) response, hospital emergency operation, or incident command.
- Required: Instructors with unique technical expertise in specialized areas (e.g., chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives or MCI’s) and certification or licensure in a discipline will provide evidence or documentation of the license/certificate.
- Required: Instructor must provide evidence of instructor training and/or education (minimum 32-hour course) from a reputable institution, i.e. college, university, medical school, a United States military service school, a federal training institution, state or municipal training academy, or other recognized professional instructor training and/or education program. Instructor candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of current adult-learning instructional experience.
- Required: Teaching certification, post-secondary teaching experience, or a teaching degree may be accepted in lieu of instructor training. In either case, applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of current instructing/teaching as an instructor, teacher or professor.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds on occasion.
- This job operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
Pre-employment Requirements:
This position may be contingent upon passing a security clearance, criminal background check, drug screen, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, education verification, employment verification, and/or credit check after acceptance of an offer and prior to beginning work, due to the nature of the services Chloeta provides and the responsibilities of this position.
Drug and Alcohol Testing:
To enforce Chloeta’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy, an employee or candidate could be subject to undergoing a drug screen and/or alcohol testing at the beginning of employment, as well as after commencement of employment where there is reasonable suspicion of intoxication, or following an automobile or other accident, or as part of a company or facility-wide random drug screen process.
