Being an Instructor - Special Education provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Special Education typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Full Time Special Education Case Manager and Instructor

  • CPDLF is growing and is anticipating an opening on our Academic Team!  The position is for a Full Time Special Education Case Manager and Instructor, K-12 Special Education certificate preferred.  The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for being the Case Manager for IEPs, provide Direct Instruction (Learning Support), and be a contributing member of our Special Education Department as well as our Academic Team.  Compensation is based on experience, level of education, and certifications. 


    CPDLF is a 24/7 asynchronous K to 12 PA cyber school that serves learners and families across the state of PA.   Learners have access to their learning platforms at all times and are encouraged to take ownership of their learning.  Our main office is located in Altoona, PA and we have Drop In Learning Centers in the Altoona Logan Valley Mall and in Stroudsburg, PA. 


    The CPDLF Team values developing strong, personable connections with each learner and their family.   A personal touch sets us apart and is essential to fostering positive relationships.  We are constantly searching for ways to connect, engage, and empower our learners in person whether virtually or face to face.  To us, each person matters.  To us, each person whether child or adult deserves the best opportunities to learn and grow.  Our learning organization strives to individualize learning for everyone involved.


    CPDLF will provide professional learning for the virtual environment as well as training on how to complete the job duties and responsibilities.


    Candidates selected for hiring will need to have all of their paperwork, clearances, and other new hire tasks completed immediately upon hiring.  Acceptable PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI Clearances, and Act 168 forms required to be hired.  PA Teaching certification with Special Education K-12 required.
